Product Descriptions

Amerlock®/400
A self-priming epoxy with full color availability, combining high-performance protection with ease of application. Amerlock/400 provides a simplified solution to complex plant and offshore corrosion problems. It can be applied to tightly adhering rust and old paint surfaces – without the need for blast cleaning – and still delivers a high degree of chemical and corrosion protection where surface preparation can only be minimal.

Advantages:

  • Amerlock’s low solvent level meets VOC requirements, reduces the chances for film pin holing and solvent entrapment at the substrate-coating interface.
  • The superior wetting action of Amerlock/400 permits excellent adhesion, thoroughly soaking into the rust layer and tightly bonding to the underlying metal.
  • Amerlock/400 has good chemical resistance to splash/spillage, fumes and immersion in neutral, fresh and salt water.
  • As a maintenance coating, Amerlock/400 protects steel structures in industrial facilities, bridges, tank exteriors, oil tanks, piping, roofs, water towers and other exposures.

Amershield™
A self-priming, high-build, gloss polyurethane that shows excellent color and gloss retention during extended service periods.

Advantages:

  • High solids and low VOC
  • Outstanding abrasion and impact resistance
  • Good chemical and stain resistance combined with toughness and flexibility
  • The direct to metal and concrete capabilities of Amershield provide a single-coat system at reduced installation cost.

Amercoat™
A full line of waterborne products combining high-performance coating protection with the advantages and conveniences of water-base technology. Amercoat may be used over tightly adhering old paint and rust as well as primed surfaces. It can be applied directly to metal on most interior and exterior surfaces and is also ideal for concrete and masonry.

Advantages:

  • VOC compliance with single package convenience.
  • Excellent gloss retention and weatherability.
  • Superior impact resistance, chemical resistance and flexibility.
  • Amercoat provides a beautiful, flexible, cleanable gloss finish that resists cracking and peeling.
  • Amercoat significantly out-performs conventional acrylic coatings.
  • Easy cleanup and availability in a wide range of colors.

Dimetcote® Inorganic Zinc Coatings
Affords galvanic protection under a wide range of atmospheric conditions. As a single coat Dimetcote resists severe weathering and marine environments. As a primer it may be topcoated with epoxies, vinyls, acrylics and other finishes providing resistance to industrial chemical exposure as well as marine exposure above the saltwater splash zone.

Advantages:

  • Dimecote features high-metallic zinc content that provides long-term corrosion protection and reduces maintenance costs.
  • It can be applied over blasted or pickled surfaces.
  • A heavy duty primer that protects in a single coat
  • Excellent heavy-build film tolerance in corners and angles.
